About me
Dr. Senthil Muthuraman is a renowned transplant surgeon in the province of Southern Tamil Nadu. He earned his Master of Surgery degree from Madras Medical College, India oldest and most prestigious medical school. Dr. Senthil completed his super specialty training in surgical gastroenterology at the prestigious and world renown Asian Institute of gastroenterology, Hyderabad. He did not stop with a MRCS and his super speciality training, but went on to do a highly specific core surgical training program in liver transplantation in the capacity of a post-doctoral fellow at Apollo Chennai.
He was working for Dr. Anil Vaidya, a world known Multi Organ transplant surgeon. He relocated to Madurai’s Velammal Medical College and began his new Liver and Multi-Organ Transplant Program (Pancreas and kidney Transplant). The program has received widespread acclaim because it is the first of its kind in Tamil Nadu southern region. In addition, a successful pediatric liver and kidney transplant was initiated. He has a special focus and interest on simultaneous kidney and pancreatic transplants. He is a part of highest and successful simultaneous Pancreas and kidney transplant program in the country. He is one of India few pancreas transplant surgeons.
The National Board of examinations has awarded Dr.M.Senthil the prestigious PROF.RANGABHASHYAM Gold medal in DNB Surgical Gasteroentrology. For Being diligent and conscientious to his work BEST CADAVER LIVER TRANSPLANT PROGRAM award in Tamil Nadu was presented to his team by TRANSTAN As a recognition for him who worked productively and tirelessly for the betterment of their patients BEST TRANSPLANT HOSPITAL[LIVER] AWARD by NEWS 18 Tamil Nādu has been bagged by Velammal hospital. He has been rewarded with Tamil Menmaiyalar award by Canada Tamil Sangam for his outstanding achievements in the field of Transplant surgery. He has more than 10 years’ experience in the transplant and complex hepato-pancreatic surgeries.
